.xxx never received approval from ICANN. Am I missing something about your question. It could be you are referring to any .123 .abc ending as oposed to a .12 or .ab or .1234 or .abcd

.xxx is not yet an extension allowed by ICANN. With the vote they did today, .xxx may become an extension next year.
They will allow people to submit applications requesting for "vanity" extensions, like ".newyork" or ".london" or ".coke" |
