I have used Google Adwords, and it has been very successful. I have used it to consistently bring in a stream of visitors, which in turn helped me to earn a net profit as a result of sales made on my sites (as well as the visitors clicking ads).

One example is a forex site I have - I paid $20.00 in advertising and received a return of several sales for a net profit of over $100.00 in a span of hours.

You do this over and over and you begin to generate some substantial cash

(Not to self-promote my stuff TOO much, but I use the tools that I promote, and that did give me a substantial edge as well.)

Uh..Ok. Thanks for the explanation. All the while i have been skeptical about advertising my site using adwords for fear of unable to recover back the cost of advertising. Now after you have explained it, it sounds very assuring and convincing.

Here's the deal - You've got to do the numbers beforehand - don't just throw money at Google and expect to have your money made.

Also, don't trust Google's numbers - know YOUR numbers!

You mean how much cost I need to estimate for each successful click? What if my site has a low CTR for the ads? I mean if that's a problem I would actually end up losing money because even though I can drive traffic from adsense but I would not generate returns from it. How much do you actually allocate for a single click? I saw others who managed to secure even 0.01 for a click. Is that possible?

Ads is a great way to get additional exposure for your business, it connect you with new customers at the precise moment when they're looking for your products or services (based on the keyword bid amount).
