Well i would agree with Armaan that you can find a handsome information about dropped domains at namepros.com and other domain name discussion forums but i would suggest you to take a look on these sites and get the one you are looking for if and only if its dropped

Ya there are many software and sites which provide you these service. But as far as software is concerned "Domain Research tool" is the best tool for finding any type/kind of domains, it supports many many features.
