PPC Program vs Affiliate Program

Which one do you think is better? I'll give you my insight.

In my experience affiliate programs beats PPC when the affiliate program is closely related to your site content. Of course the hard part is finding your perfect match, and then finding a program that provides the best payouts and all...
And it makes more sense using an affiliate program rather then a ppc for web hosting, software, books, etc.. where you make $50-$100 per sale/lead.. where ppc would only pay out maybe $0.10 per each click, but if you have lots of traffic than the ppc will also do well.
