FTP is file transfer protocol and it is not a program than can earn you money. It is use to transfer your files to your hosting company.

I've tried a few, and i gotta say filezilla is the best. It has an ease of use, and let's you do everything you want in an ftp program. Plus it's free, which is always good.

I use gFtp in ubuntu and it works well for me.
I have also used FireFTP a Firefox extension.

I like both of them.

I also like WS_FTP. Good reliable software, easy to use, intuitive and it's been around awhile so all the bugs have been worked out of it.

* Drag & drop support
* Configurable Speed limits
* Filename filters
* Network configuration wizard

Total Commander (http://www.ghisler.com/) and FTP Voyager (http://www.ftpvoyager.com) are two programs I recommend.

I use miFiles. To be honest, I haven't used any other FTP program but then again, I didn't feel like I needed to. Plus, it's Free! (http://www.simdata.com.au/products/miFiles/miFiles.htm)
