Paypal subcribe hosting?

Why some hosts do require you to subcribe the hosting? It's bad when you want to cancel the hosting, you'll have to start to unsubcribe your hosting. Also if you forget to cancel it.. it's a problem. Any idea why they want it?

Alot of times it can be because of recurring payments.. If e-mails are blocked or anything that restricts an invoice to come through on a monthly basis might prevent the account holder from paying the fees. Its basically to automate the process.

I prefer not to have recurring payments and tend to avoid hosting companies who do this, but I have to admit it's pretty hard to find hosts that doesn't do subscription payment.

all the hosts want you to do it, I skip the level of it ot do it and then go the paypal and cancel it.

Being one of them, I know there are hosts out there that allow invoicing instead of subscription..
