Running your own servers
Hello,
Have you ever considered running your own server on your own home PC? What would that require? Will the cost for running one's own server be less or more than the cost of paid hosting? |

Probably more. Not worth it unless you have the expertise and capital to start your own business.

home PC is for home use not for out side use so its hard to use as server and we are unable to use for our home needs because it get more busy

its not easy to start server because it needs electric, bandwidth , connections etc...

To start your own server you have to have a good internet connection (paid hosting usually has 100mb/s internet speed) you have to have a good computer and an electric company that delivers quality electric energy (no downs and no fluctuations)....I think these 3 conditions would make anyone reconsider

fo electricity i had but we never hd good internet connection so we cant start here in india

I think to run your own server on your home PC is an expensive and useless thing. You have to have a lot of features on your PC and very well electricity and Internet supply.

I run my website on my own PC for 2 months and had no problems, I think if you want to and you can do, there is no reason why you shouldn't. Also, how is it expensive? You dont have to pay for anything extra..

most probably i won't go to that path, have experience hosting before eggdrops on my home pc, but it turned out not reliable so whenever I host i host it shared, vip or dedicated much more reliable.

Well I was thinking about run a server in my house but my internet speed is not as good as i will need.
I have 700 kbpos download and 400 upload.
