Default Will transferring of webhosts affect pagerank?

Hi all, I was thinking of transferring webhosts because of bandwidth issues, but am worried that my PR will be affected. Will it be affected and any suggestions to minimize the loss of PR?

Thanks in advance!

It won't be affected unless you have a long downtime.

Yeah your PR wont be affected at all unless you had a long down time as he said because when you have a long down time Google thinks that your site is out of content so there is no value of your website when there is no content

PR will not be affected if you keep the same domain name and you keep the same URL and file structure.
If you switch domain names you have to make sure you 301 redirect all the old URLs to the new ones to transfer over the Pagerank, also this will prevent broken bookmarks and broken links from other sites. If you are changing your URL or file structure you also need to make sure you 301 redirect all old URLs or filenames to the new ones.

Change of hosting does not cause the lost of PR but it may affect your traffic if let's say your new host always encounter problem on uptime and bandwidth limit. The reason is because that might turn visitors away.
