Things to consider when selecting a host for your business website

There are many factors to consider when finding a host for a business website. Free hosting can work well for personal and fun websites but is not always a great choice for a business website.

You will want a website with plenty of bandwidth and disk space to meet your needs. Try to estimate how many visitors your site will receive each month so that you can have an idea of how much bandwidth you need.

Find a host with a good reputation that has been around for awhile. Your host will be a reflection on your business. IF the host is unreliable with a lot of downtime, your business can suffer You want as close to 100% uptime as possible.

Make sure the host offers all the features and appications you need. For example, do they offer databases if this is something you need. For an e-commerce site look for a host with ecommerce features or packages included with their hosting plans.

If your business is already established I would recommend either a VPS or Dedicated Server account for zero or little downtime.
