Microsoft Approved as ICANN Registrar
Quote:
Source: http://news.netcraft.com/archives/2..._registrar.html Do you think Microsoft will sell the domain name registrations to public or not (like Google & Amazon)? |

I think they'll integrate it with their Office line of products to get individuals their own domain name or use it for search, as stated by the article.

I didn't know Microsoft provides hosting services. Something must be left to chance...

I would hate to get a domain from them. Or get one with hosting and make it an anti-microsoft site

Well this is bad. Another thing they are bound to mess up. If they go for a low price (I don't think they will...) but if they do, a nice domain price war will begin

Microsoft provided domain name for free publicly and i registered two domain names (TLD) from them.. So, as they are now ICANN approved registrar then I can say that they will provide that registration with the hosting pacakge that i signed up.. from their own panel (might be or might not be).
