how to make attractive web sites??

hello friends....can any one tell me how can i make my site more good and more beautyful with good colour combination.....?thank you

Go around and surf for other sites and you will get a good idea of how to give your website a more attractive look.

I have seen that big players in the internet like yahoo, paypal, ebay, google etc have a simple look with a white background color and avoid using fancy stuff.

As they say "Beauty in Simplicity"

Make it simple and use light colours. When I design I use a blue to white or a blue to gray gradient very much. Blue is also a colour 'representing' simplicity, fast/secure service and professional.

Many Colors doesnt make a site look profession but the site looks like a cartoon

You know what they say “Content is king”. So first think to put unique and interesting stuff and then everything else.

I dont care about the design of my website..but the problem is I dont have even one website coz i really dont know how to start..noteven by using free website provider..if anybdy can give any idea how to have a complete website?

Pick a nice color sceme and don't make it to sloppy the more effort u put in the nicer it will turn out

use corrosponding colors, and easy to read(not hard of eyes) text. Also keep things in nice rows

use flash, but not too much. then after you make the design ask people you know to critique your work.

Don't use Flash if you want to have any SEO. Flash ruins your chance of getting SEO. Go with a nice clean look while maintaining originality and professionalism. Usually a good neutral color as a background and less flashy main areas.
