Well,

I have to say, that I cannot exactly determine whether either of them is superior. So, in my particular case, I would choose both.

In the case of voice conversations (PC to PC), I would go for Gtalk, since their quality, and communication is far more clearer and better, more reliable than Yahoo!.

However, the chatting interface in Gtalk basically sucks. No variety, way too simple. So, I would choose Yahoo! in that case!

My primary messenger is AIM for regular friends, but I seem to use Yahoo the most when discussing business..It seems most people that do online stuff use Yahoo as their main messenger. Yahoo is also great because you can add people from MSN right onto your Yahoo buddylist.

None of these..

I only use MSN Messenger (Now Live Messenger). However, I do use Yahoo Messenger when my few clients are not MSN Messenger user.

I prefer yahoo in this. They are a pioneer in this messenger service. But google talk has to develop certain more features as they are at the introductory stage.
But the voice mail is better in gtalk. The voice is clear than yahoo.
