Default Paypal Issue very serious?

I have had a very serious and important issue on paypal. I was supposed to get a payment for my service from a particular guy. He paid me thru an email id to my paypal id. After I got the payment, some times later, i got an email from paypal claiming that the payment that i have just received is not valid as the user has not authorized the payment to pay me. What this could mean? Has that person hacked some one else's paypal id and paid me or could be due to other reasons, kindly explain.

I also had another issue where i got payment on 24th decemeber (from a differnt guY) thru paypal and today i got a mail from paypal claiming that that payment was also not authorized to insufficient funds. How could this happen, at least around 6 days later they have found insufficient funds? What should i do on both the cases to resolve my case. Kindly advice please.

The activity that has been done by you with some other guy seems suspicious.Am not saying anything against you buddy, but for that guy!He might have done something wrong on his end.I can not tell you what exactly he has done as it has never happened with me..but for solving this you should contact paypal without more delay. You were the buyer in this deal so there are bright chances that you will be receiving the money,as paypal is more inclined towards buyers protection.Don't worry, just write them an email stating your problem or file a claim..alternatively you can call them.

Well I've noticed something about Paypal. They do not pre-auth the amounts at time of purchase in every case. Sometimes they wait a few days and what could have happened is that there was money in there at the time, and not when Paypal decided to charge it. The best you can do probably is to hope the guy makes good on it. Paypal is not really known for their help in these matters (we got burned for $100 because the card was no good a week or so after they said it was). But it never hurts to talk to them. I haven't had a dispute with them since Ebay bought them so maybe they are better these days.

Good luck.

I had this happen to me once. In my case it was that the guy who paid me used someone elses Paypal account. Paypal sent me an email and the transaction was reversed since I had sufficient funds in my Paypal account. I emailed paypal back and forth and was not able to recover my funds. Its pretty much unrecoverable when an unauthorized transaction is filed and the payment is reversed.

Well i have never myself encountered situations like this but all I can say as per my experience is that,as you are the buyer so you have majority chances of getting your funds because paypal is much concerned in case of buyers,so please without any delay write the whole problem clearly and send it to Paypal as soon as possible,I am sure the justice will be in your favor as you were the buyer and those transactions you had are unauthorized.
