I've tried learning CSS site developing, but it seemed really hard and complicated for me
I might try learning it again, but for now I'll just stick to the regular HTML tables

CSS is better in terms of SEO. This is because CSS minimizes the things that are not relevant for a bot to crawl.

I'm not so concerned, but I heard these days is better to use CSS since it saves space and loads faster than tables, but I don't know really.
When I design sites I prefer to put some CSS based in other documents and what I have learned so far, I'm not able to write CSS code by myself yet.

CSS is really easy once you get the hang of it. You can do a lot more with the formatting of tables, text, font, and other elements than by using standard HTML alone. External style sheets are the best because you will only need to change one file to affect your entire site.

Here is an excellent resource to help you get started with CSS

I'm learning CSS now, since I found it more useful. I can't say it's pretty difficult to learn, but it's not easy neither. You will be good at it with practice. As for now, I'm not able to write CSS as I do with HTML.

I actually use a combination of css and html, but I still do the majority of my coding in html/php and just do all my colour schemes in css and such, makes life easier managing lots of pages.

I've seen websites made with only a few codes of .html and their .css was unbelievable, if you look at a site that's like that, and you remove the .css file it turns to be some crappy listed site. Css has definitely taken a turn for the better in site and web development.
