Hostgator vs Godaddy

Anyone use Hostgator to host their websites ? I know they have cpanel which Godaddy doesn't have. Which hosting provider is better ?

i think godaddy will always be better. they have fast reliable server, world wide trustable name, they have a great control panel,help files and fast responses to tickets.

i will go with hostgator, well are also reliable and flexible with features they provide.
I think they charge a bit more than godady but that's nothing in comparision of their services

I would definitely choose HostGator. The only problem I have with them is that they require phone confirmation to unlock some features.
I was never really fond of GoDaddy's hosting. Not a big fan. Wouldn't have a website under them, ever.

Do you have a reason for that ? Maybe a bad experience with them ? Like to hear about it since I haven't encountered any trouble with them so far.

I've only ever tried them out, I didn't stay with them long enough to determine exactly how good or bad their hosting for websites are.
I haven't really heard any good things about it though.

i can tell one good thing about them. If you have a forum which is too much for a shared account but can't afford a VPS Then Godaddy shared hosting is the best thing you can get. this is the only place I have seen 100% server uptime.

I am 'afraid of' big companies, because they apply overselling everywhere to make their plans look more attractive.

I would rather prefer something stable than something big. Some time before I have chosen Ahosting.biz as my hosting provider and since then have never regret.

Go for Hostgator.
Godaddy's hosting wasn't that great for me.

Had some problems and the staff was a little weird..
