Have you ever lost PR during an update? Like going from 6 to 3. If so, what do you attribute to your loss? Lack of updating original content or poor back links?

No I have never lost PR.
The reason why you would lose PR would be because you have back links from spammers or sites not related to your content, or if the sites that linked to you have no dropped. |

I never lost significant PR although my site wavers between 2-3 on sometimes most of the time it sticks at 3 though.

I've had PR going down before, yes.
I think it's because some sites only show your link / the link is in a more prominent postion, for a short period of time. Mostly though, my PR either stays the same or goes up. |

I've lost PR1. I was having PR5 in one of my website and then i fell sick for about 2 weeks. And i was unable to check out my website and my server went down due to some technical problems and it was off for 10 days. Then when i started the site and checked and see that my pagerank has been decreased to 4 from 5.
