There has been frenzied buying of these domains recently and I am very tempted to join in. But I fear that will all these resellers grabbing them the market will soon be flooded with 3 character .nets. Is it worth buying these domains? Do domains like 4y5.net or nn5.net have a value to end users?

I'm not sure that there are much unregistered 3 character .nets if any at all. Most of them have any value. In the near future probably all of them could have.

Maybe the focus will now shift to 3 letter .orgs. A number of good lln.orgs are still available.

Well, most 3 char .net domains now have a resale value of low-high $xx (depends on the name). They are becoming more expensive as most 3 char .net and also other extensions are being regged and traded very rapidly!

Well frankly I missed the 3 char .net train so I wonder whether its time to reg the best 3 char .orgs? Are you going to do that? Some really nice ones are still available. Or are you going to buy .nets from resellers and hoard them until there worth $xxx

I don't understand why 3 letters meaningless domains are so popular. Will anyone find such a site quick because it has 3 letters? Google will easy find long domains if they will include some keywords in it.
