domain name free for life what does it mean?

I was reading the web hosting plans of some companies say lunarpages.com and
have read that they offer domain name for life. What does that mean i do not have to pay a yearly fees as long as i am hosting website on their server. And what if i changed the hosting company, will the domain name remain free for life or not?

it means that as long as you have a hosting package with them, the domain you used for your hosting package will be registered & renewed by them, for as long as you have the package. if you switch hosting companies, im sure they will revoke that.

If you pay for their hosting continuesly then they will reg yr domain and keep it until you stop paying. domain name cost is included in hosting price.

It will be free till the time u have a webhosting account with the host. When u leave that webhost and want to keep your domain name, u will be charged some amount of money!

Yes, everyone has explained right. As long as you keep webhosting, they will bear your domain renewal costs. It must be mentioned in their terms otherwise it looks to good to be true.
