Default Learn WYSIWYG?

Do people nowadays learn hand coding anymore? When I first started out with webpage creation the most important thing is to learn WYSIWYG first before using web program. This way, we can learn what are the real functions for each code.

well WYSIWYG is not a handcodingstuff, it is what people now a day's are using, the handcoding is to proper put each single character in place to form the whole layout, WYSIWYG is more like working on a doc or a picture coding is done automatically in it.

well i started with WYSIWYG and pavd my way into handcoding, and curently my work style is
a) if non-css website
1) create a layout in WYSIWYG designer,
2) tweak other aspects by handcoding.
b) CSS based ones
1) create a proper CSS first considering all aspects of website
2) create pages by handcoding.

what you see is what you get is not something you learn. Its something you do with a program like dream weaver.
