I have marketed my referral programs through mylot.com and have got good results.

What basically is mylot and how does it work? Can you please explain it in a detail? I'm looking for this type of effective marketing technique.

Mylot is a community where you get paid for posting in discussions. I dont think that there you can make any kind of marketing. The dude in the first post must have got something wrong.

You can market sites in there but whether you get good results is another thing. I have used it to market one or two sites and not seen anything from marketing there.
Also you get paid to post but don't think it will make you rich, it takes a long time to reach payout and lots of time needed to post on it.
