Google discriminates against sites hosted at free hosting spaces

Google discriminates against sites hosted at free hosting spaces while detemining its page rank.

I have a forum, which is having an active members of over 100 students, the forum is dedicated for MBA studies. But hosted in free space.

with page rank 0

I have another forum with less number of users, but page rank 2, only difference hosted in paid hosting.

Do any of you guys observed the same?

No you are wrong i have a blog in blogspot is ranked 2 so what u say sri sri ?

not true, i also have a blogspot blog and the site rank #1 in google with 2 million competitor . I also got a sub domain of a free host and my site rank #6 for a seo related keyword .

I also don't think Google discriminates between paid and free hosting! I do find it odd that some of my sub urls from free hosting sites are still not ranked but some people do really well with their free subdomains.

I think there may have been a penalty given to you or something. I use Godaddy and they have option for free host with ads and paid host not ads. I believe you can rank well either way you choose. I don't think you got snubbed due to sponsored hosting.
