Links shoud not be over crowded within the same post. Otherwise it loses its value. Wait till the site grows and PR to update. Do not sell many permanent links in the beginning. Once the value increase you can sell the permanent links for a higher value. You may share your thoughts.

I earn around 10-20 us $ from text link selling its not much but most of my sites are PR 3-2 so its enough. i reinvest the money to get more links so my sites would better better PR in next PR update.

I added text links to my just recently and it's getting a lot more clicks than the image leader board. So it works better than the image ads. I think you have to sort of play with the colours though, because if you use the default you won't get as many clicks. It's like people try to avoid clicking on the links.

Well I have PR 5 website and earn somewhere 200 + everymonth. In my opinion it is the best way to make money online one a person have a good PR website.
