what is the difference???help plz...

can any one tell me what the different forms of the flash files...?i knw about two SWF and FLA but not in deep.can any one tell the difference of these two and how they use in flash....?

SWF is a flash output file or you can say the end result, you can not edit it you can only view it you will require a flash player in order to do so.

FLA is the flash source file or the main file. You can edit this file as you wish.

Another type of flash file which is very popular these days is FLV that's the flash video file. Popular video sharing sites are using this format to display their videos as they are highly compressed.

Thanks mehboobmeghani but how come the files you download from youtube grabbers are in .flv format. If I'm not mistaking, they are all non-editable.

Swf is the flash video but Fla is the backup that video We can edit the Fla Files to make swf file but SWF is not modified
moreever there are some softwares like emilta decomplier which can modified the SWF files...

.flv is just a simple video format. Nothing to do with flash. You can use a flv converter to convert a .flv file to a .wmv so you can play it with windows media player.
just search for a flv converter.

I do advice to use vixy.net
It converts the .flv file automatically and you can simply download the converted file. You dont need any grabbers or converters then.
