Default CPanel vs. Plesk

What are the advantages of cPanel over Plesk? I've only used cPanel and it works pretty much, but I have a friend who wants to put Plesk on.

I advice you to use cpanel for hosting and plesk, integrated, generally, with virtuozzo and confix.
Cpanel consume more ram than plesk.

Bye

I have always and will always use cpanel. I do not think that you could pay me to switch simply becuase that it what I have always used and for me it is the best option.

Thanks for the advice. That is good to know about the ram usage. He will be doing hosting, so I'll try to steer him towards cPanel...

As a host, I would recommend cPanel. It's generally more user friendly, and many potential customers are accustomed to cPanel. It also has a really nice account transfer function and that makes it easy both on the host and the customer. As a company, we've evaluated different control panels, but we've liked cPanel the best and so have our customers.

I prefer cPanel over Plesk. It seems to have more functionality and easier to use in my opinion.

I prefer cPanel. It's easy to understand, easy to use. Now I only use cPanel. And it's very convenient for you to set up DB.

cPanel is linux only, and plesk I think is Windows only. But if they worked on the same os I think cpanel would be better.
