Ways to earn from free hosting

Aside for putting ads in the sites you are hosting, is there any other income source aside from this? I am looking into this free hosting business to see what are my income options.

If you open a free hosting service you can put ads in the freely hosted sites and make some money. You can put the ads in each and every pages, even in the 404 error pages. Besides that ads I think that you will be able to earn some backlinks by making the members link back to your site. You can also make the members post to get hosted and their posts/activity in your forum will also pay you off.

I think getting sponsored by other hosts who are paid hosting providers could be a good idea since there is a low chance of loosing your customers as they are looking for free hosting
