Should/can i host from my own PC?

Ok, I want to start a new page, it wont be a serious one, just for fun

Should or can i host it on my PC? And why do you think so? By the way i wont use it for more than 2 weeks.

Well i am not a web hosting master but as far as i know to host a website you need a server witch is a hardware that holds your websites memory like your pc holds games. My freind online did it for himself, But i dont think you can host it on your pc. Your better off just getting a free web hoster.
