File Hosting Site

Is VPS the best way to go for my new file hosting site? (in my sig). It currently costs $15 a month with 6gb storage, 100gb bandwidth and only 128mb ram. I really need to upgrade the ram to atleast 512mb for an extra $15 per month. And soon i will need to increase the space/bandwidth which is another $10 per month.

File hosting is a very difficult thing to make money on. your host will shut you down if you strain their servers. How can anyone compete with Google who is about to offer this for free?

But yeha in general file hosting is a very difficult market to break into... There are soooo many viable alternatives
