Location of your host
Does geography matter when choosing a webhosting company? Lets say I am in Asia, does it matter if my host is located in England?

I think it does since it takes longer for the signal to be received and sent since the server is further.

It shouldn't matter too much to you if you have a fast connection. But obviously when when you are managing your site if the server is further it will be slower for you. But you also have to consider your users; if most of your users are from england then it would be nice to have your webhost located there because your site would load faster for them.

I wouldn't worry about speed at all.
But if your host is based on your country it's easier for you to sue them or they sue you (just in case).  |
