New Year to hang up on unsolicited calls
Telemarketing calls often comes in the middle of business meetings, hospital emergencies and overseas trips. Once, even our Finance Minister ( India), P. Chidambaran was plagued by telemarketing calls at odd hours while on an overseas visit lent humour to the meeting.
All this is likely to become history from next year. An agreement is working up where by there will be a central “do not call” (DNC) registration service, allowing consumers to register mobile numbers that are out of bounds for telemarketing calls. The service requires a simple three to four digit toll- Free number with multilingual registration facilities.
Do you thing that such a service will be able to successfully prevent you from receiving telemarketing calls. Will this service be a 100 percent fool proof plan?
