Default Which do you prefer?

If you are not that good in web designing, html and programming, would you prefer using the templates available for WebPages? Or would you still make the design on your own? Share your opinions.

I think I would still design my own website, with a wysiwyg builder.
Or let someone else design it.
I think it's really weird when you use a template and see someone else using the same template, so that your site looks exactly the same... I really don't want that .

Thumbs down Re: Which do you prefer?

I firstly use templetes to design my website, because it takes less time.

I prefer templates only because I'm not good at design. If I were then I'd want to show off my skills by designing my own.

I don't really like to use templates so I would have to say that usually I would not in most cases. Usually I will just hire someone to do design work for me.

I think there are two different questions going on at the same time.

1. Should you use a template?
2. Should you design your own site?

There are 2 issues to consider.

1. The design
2. The programming

So, the quick answer..........

You should install a free program (content management system) for your site like Joomla, Drupal, or Wordpress.

Theese free systems will make it very easy for you to add content to your site and are normally pretty easy to install.

They will come with a free template, but, it is very easy to change the look and feel of these templates, so.......

Yes, you want to use the free programs and software, but, no, you want to edit the site with your own graphics and colors.

I hope this helps. Good Luck.
