Any views on Hostgator

I was referred to Hostgator.com once. Need to find out more, do any of you use this service and if so, what do you think, also is there tech support OK.

Please if you have experience using them as your hosts, let me know how it went.

My friend hosts alot of sites there. I think they're very reliable, haven't saw any downtime so far, and they're very cheap.

When I used them they were a great host but that was along time ago. And alot of them being a great host was because of they used theplanet for there datacenter but now I have heard alot of horror storys about theplanet because of ownership change so hostgator may have gone down hill to because of that. Unless they started there own DC like they were thinking on.
