PR VS taffic

If you have a higher PR does that means you get loads of traffic ? what matters most : getting into top 10 for keywords or a higher pagerank.I know with my experience that PR don't get you to top 10 in results. I have sites which has less than PR3 but having a higher position than PR3+sites for same keyword. How does PR helps to a site to archive its goals ?

It just shows you if you get traffic or not.

There is no direct relation between pr and traffic. PR is something related to search engines and people assess a website's quality using PR. Whereas you can get huge traffic even with a less PR because of word of mouth marketing and many inward links which may even have nofolllow tags.

People marketing for there product in many ways. After that as a result they get some/lots of traffic. But it does not mean that all people give you good page rank to your web site. On the other side people can give you page rank. This is happen in pr and traffic. You can not say pr is best or traffic is best. Both are important.

PR is a number to indicate the importance of your page to Google as an authority or content site. Traffic has nothing at all to do with PR.

Page rank is different and traffic rank(alexa) is different. But both are quite dependent on each other. Traffic rank is just one of the criteria of deciding page rank by google search engines.

I don't think PR helps you to get into the top 10 results. It's your site contents and keywords that will get you to the top 10, but PR does help a little. High PR basically means you're getting high traffic/lots of people coming in to your site. The more people come to your site, the higher your PR and your site's popularity might get you to the top 10 search results.

Basically if you like to get higher rank in the search engines then SEo is to be done and fater that you can see a increase in traffic from search engines to your site/blog. It is not a easy job.
