Is blogger charges for the hosting?

They've never charged anything. Because blogger was also owned by google. They won't do anything illegal

Blogger is a great service, and no Google doesn't charge anything, not even for advertising and blog monetizing such as Adsense.

Blogger is great for SERP, not many people get that. Blogger blogs often get a much higher ranking than other websites. But thats not the topic at this moment.

let me tell you cskanna..blogger is now a google's company as they have purchased it and even in the beginning it was being sponsored by google..they do not charge anything for literally anything..and if you display ads from your blogger account..you will be receiving the full share as they come under one roof now..only thing is when your site grows then it makes your loading speed slow on blogger..but its OK for beginning blogging..

I really doubt that google will start charging for blogger.com to create any blogs. Because it will be a great loss for them only, as around 90% of the blogspot users have google adsense in them, which means they will switch to other free options, hence they will not do it.

blogger didn't charge you anything for blogging. In other hand,You can put pay per post ads and you will get paid for you posting.
