Newspaper Ads
Has anyone tried using newspaper ads to promote their site? I know it's not as global, but it would seem to me it might extend the reach of the site to some that it may not.

I have tried some time back and found it not so promising to my niche. I know a guy who does only news paper marketing of his sites and has a good success rate, it all depends on what's your niche is.

I had good sucess with it for a candle site I use to own. However, the candle were made locally so that helped. I wonder how Google's print ad feature is doing?

If your website is somewhat related to local audience then it is the best way to attract visitors. I personally haven't tried it but considering it for my new project.
