    Default .com vs .info

I recently have a .info domain on godaddy,
can anyone tell me whether, does it really matter having a .com domain and .info domain.

Does it affect our blogging if we have a .info domain.

Nope it doesn't affect anything at ALL. It's all up to you. But if you ask me, i prefer .com because everyone knows it, and if you want to build a blog choose a name everyone will remember with a .com TLD. over 40% of surfers don't know anything alse than .com

    Regards.

That's a good stat that 40% of browsers doesn't know any other extension other than .com. But I wish to know if it is accurate.

And regarding the topic, I feel, not all kinds of site is suitable for having a .info domain. It makes a feel as if the website is cheap. Because the domain is cheap. .com and .net are those domains that are much respected. If you have a website that is for any personal use and not targeting larger audience, then I would suggest you to have the .info domain. If else, .com. Professional sites never consider having a .info domain.

i though .info is great, because they stand for "information".
but since .info is freely to use and can get it for cheap, i dislike any domain using .info name.
of course .com is better than any domain

Any experienced domainer can't ignore the value of .info domain. They are good for mini sites. Even my 2nd biggest domain sale is of .info domain.

If you want a blog for SEO purposes, go with a .com.. if it is not for SEO, keep your .info...but if it is a business blog, it is highly advisable to get a .com domain because it is more authority and professional
