How is .mobi extension?

.mobi domains were my one time favorites. When it was introduced (back in 2006) I had regged several lll.mobis and made a good profit within few weeks.

However after few months it lost the momentum and I stopped regging them.

How is it doing now?

it may be some one's personals choice, but the value and the favorite choice may be found in only .com domains

simple as it is... if you find your domain with a .Com, then go buy it... You can always use all different extensions for brand safety n stuff.. but .com is always the first preference

Yes, but I dont see any specific reason to have a .mobi... is it only because u wanna have your site on a mobile... i mean is it necessary that a Domain must be a .mobi??

Ehh.. mobi hasn't really been catching on. I personally would stay away from them unless you are specifically making a mobile site.

.mobi extension is specifically used for mobile sites. So I would recommend you to purchase it if you are going to develop a mobile site otherwise go for .com, .net, .org or .info extensions.
