Many free hosts that you find out there either are really slow, lack features, or require a ton of ads. x10hosting.com is none of the above. They offer free hosting with or without ads (you get more space and bandwidth if you get ads). The ads are simple text links, very small and not annoying. Also, they have cpanel, auto install of many scripts like wordpress, phpbb 3, etc. They also allow you to earn money and free domains by posting on the forums. They allow you to have up to 3 parked domains pointed to your account, and they offer premium upgrades. They are by far the best host, check them out!

However, I used this hosting and left my site unattended for 2 weeks and a day when I went on holiday only to find they had not only suspended my account but had deleted it entirely leaving me unable to access my site data. There was no reason for the deletion other than the fact that I hadn't logged in whilst on holiday. I took my db backup and got my hosting elsewhere.

I've heard a lot of great things about this host but i've never used them unfortunately.
