Default why choose windows hosting?

Hi all,

Why do you choose windows hosting?
What's better than Linux hosting? I remember you there are more site hosted on linux servers than windows servers.
Maybe it is familiarity with your windows Desktop!

You would need a windows web hosting account if you want to use ASP.net for your websites. Also if you want to use MS SQL you would need windows hosting. Other than that I don't see any other Special need for that.

Naturally, but it can be possible to run asp on linux using an emulator (naturally not on product site, only for testing it).
Wine is a good windows emulator for Linux.
It's the same for MS SQL

I think linux is better option. It has less lags, and as you said, you can use an emulator. There are thousands of them.

Like you said its not really good for real time sites. Not save like in testing. The best option is buying windows hosting. But 80% web developers use PHP so most can use Linux hosting.

Windows hosting is main requirement if you have an ASP website else why should any one go for them as all php related web pages are good in PHP. Some good blogs can also be hosted in windows hosts like Godaddy's blog

First linux dont have graphic interface and is faster
Then linux is faster to acess remotely because it dont lags.
Linux supports better Control Panels too and the hosting applications work better under linux since you can see if they are crashed and if a windows app crash you cannot detect it trough a panel at least easyly.
