What web hosts have you had really bad experiences with?
Post them here so we'll all know to avoid them. ^_^

Myself, I've had problems with multiple hosting space resellers. Stick with the well-known sites.

1and1 , bad customer support, terrible for domainers, you dont get enough for what you pay for... just bad!

Reports of 1&1 hosting are good everywhere, but it domain service is been criticized everywhere. i myself had never used it, but had heard that the hosting there is good....

Absolutely 1and1, Many years ago I bought a domain from it and I wait more than 2 weeks.
I will never buy from it. Support staff do all manually (create hosting account and domains)

For me everything is fine wid 1and1 and even the domain registers in minutes and is added to account and hosting is super class as servers are so strong. What is ur problem exactly Maurizio1230. Support is good too n nice informative response....only problem i had once was they deleted some caches in a folder in my acc wid out my consent when i asked support for slowness of site once.

1and1 is world's best shared hosting company...it's a brand can not be black listed...
