The reason these fonts are so popular is because they are simple and easy to read on computer screens with low resolution. I always loved the comic sans font but i dont know why it doesnt seemes fitting for any website except kiddy webbies, so i prefer Tahoma 10 pt font.

I just always use the plain old default...

Tahoma or Verdana set at 85-90% font-size are the fonts that I use for my website developement.

I prefer georgia. Looks really neat. Specially if i put it in bold and size 10.
