Are domains good presents?

are domain names good presents to give for certain aucations like birthdays and christmas and new years.

If it is something like 3 letter name then it is awesome and if it is something like sagygbca.com then it sucks.

Yes, I gave some out to my partner for his birthday as well as Christmas presents and he liked them and the idea was good for us both. I let him pick from the list which ones he liked.

I think that's a really interesting idea... In fact, I think I just got an idea of how to propose to my girlfriend. Get the domain name, set up the page, set it as her homepage, be there when she opens her browser, down on one knee and such with the ring... Anyone?

Cool idea, never thought of giving someone a domain as a gift, I wonder what they would think if they got one for their birthday! hmm

i just thought about it and i think it is only good if your family is into technology lol becuause you cannot give a 100year old grandfather a domain lol.
