While I certainly don't have the secret to major clicks, a couple things though do help. Make sure that you have enough text to get the ad to target. Meta-Tags are important for this, as well as the tag for the page that links to it. I didn't realize this at the beginning. When it doesn't know what to do on the destination page, it picks up the ad relevancy from the page that they came from. Which can slight your ads if you have a multi subject board. Another thing that helps is to experiment with the colors to try and see what works best. Sometimes if the site is a busy one visually, it can be drowned out by the other elements. Want to get it so that it catches their eye. Forums seem to work best when there is a myriad of subjects, so it's a good idea to have a general forum to pick up those topics.

My site, elbowroom.com, was rejected for adsense. Can someone take a look at my coding and tell me what's wrong, since the rejection reason was for too many keywords? I didn't think I had too many or irrelevant keywords...

Any advice will be appreciated!

Thanks-

vw

Thats against google TOS and if caught doing that you will be banned for life and trust me thats something you dont want as google is one of the best advertising programs out thier!

Try mixing the colors. Make the banner stand out from your page so the user can see it.

Thats the only way. Also add more content to pages to try and get better links that your users may like and filter links you dont like etc.

You use this and Google's going to shut you out from Adsense
It states clearly in their TOS you cannot "ask" your visitors to click your ads

From experience, I think that making the ads stand out from the site gives you more chances of having clicks!
