Parked Domain vs Addon Domain

In cPanel,

Parked domain allows users to park or point domain names to their main domain accounts. It allows the parked domain names to act and work just like the main domain name, as if it’s the same site, but under different domain names. If a user has domain.com as main domain, he also registered .net and .org, he can park the .net and .org to the .com and let them work in the exact same way. Each domain name would act just like the other, just under a different extension.

Just add the domain name that needs to be parked under "Parked Domains" and hit “Add Domain!” . Remember to update the DNS on the domain names being added before adding.

Add-on domain names are very similar to “Parked Domains”, but they use their own account. Users use these often when start another web site.

Under "Addon Domains" you need to enter the new domain name, username/directory/subdomain name and the password for it. Then "Add Domain!". Remember to update the DNS on the domain names being added before adding.

The new username can have FTP access and email address as well.

Add-on domains are used to share the disk space of your existing hosting package and to host an additional site. They are not like parked domains.

I dont park domains in my host but i add domains to host in order to develop them
