Many people speak non english languages such as french and spanish and there are many suhc people on the internet. Now my questions is would a domain such as one in spanish be registered as .com or should t be registered with .es? I personally think that it would be better to target the real audience through the ccTLD for better performance, what are your opinions?

I think you're probably right, though it all depends on the context.
Most spanish companies have .es domains and it's a well known extension over there (I've seen domains with .es on spanish TV). |

If your aim is locals, why do you need .com then? Go for local extension, it's cheaper and will look more natural than Spanish words with com. I've never come across anything non-English before .com... Please, tell us if you find anything.
