I have noticed that on YouTube they have used mediaclick.net and various other smaller PPC programs. I checked out the website for them and it says anyone can apply, from small blog to huge company and some only had 1500 publishers, why is YouTube going with the smaller PPC programs? Especailly when Google owns it, shouldn't they apply Adsense to it?

I have seen Adsense on Youtube, However I'm not sure about their stratigies, they must have something clever in mind behind all this

google is smart - they want to suck out some $ from other PPc companies. Other than that - using Adsense will be double the profit for them, so it is a good question after all :>

Rates are higher for youtube. they pay more $$$ for 1000 impression than they pay on normal websites. Also google hasn't yet integrated youtube completely.. Chnages will be seen soon.

I imagine that Adsense doesn't work as well for videos since it's contextual based and there's no way for their algorithm to understand the content of a video.
