The only host who seems to really allow you to use a good amount of the resources is Hostgator. Many of the others though are just as you say.

People think they are getting a better deal when they see larger numbers with little prices. The truth is, dont expect your host to be around for long, or dont expect your account to be running if you use nearly what they offer

The greater hosting companies oversell bandwidth and disk space. But this process must be controlled. All company's demands are written in TOS. One must read them very carefully before buying a package plan. It doesn't matter what company it is.

Controlled or uncontrolled overselling is always bad IMO.

No, when it's controlled, both sides can benefit from it.

It's all in the TOS. You have to read it carefully, because the one time you don't, you get ripped off. And making sure that they've been around a long time is key if you want to keep your hosting plan for longer than a month.

so, your domain got suspended already?? this is bad.
anyway, try look for hosting that offering money back guarantee like globat, 1 yr guarantee. and its a terabytes plan, will be enough for use.
