What is a good page rank that people would want to start buying text links on. And also how much of a difference is a pr3 to a pr4? What should you have?

its not much different from pr3 to pr4, its pretty easy to get those two rankings, but pr5 counts as a medium pr so its more expensive than pr4 lol, its weird but thats how it is, i have a pr3 forum and i sell links, good pr to start buying is pr1 or pr2 lol, if they have a pr its good enough, if your site doesnt have a pr that is, if it does, try to buy at least one pr higher

A good PR is I guess anything 3 and above. I don't really know a lot of people who would buy a PR2 text link. Maybe a link exchange though.

PR 4 is already a good PR to make other people interested in buying links from your site. Traffic is also one important thing that is considered in buying links.

PR value is a lot like a G.P.A. For example it would be much more difficult to get a high PR on a site with very competitive keywords than on one about a more obscure subject/theme.
To use an analogy imagine two students who have a 4.0 GPA. One is a medical major while the other is an art major. Not to offend artists, but you can see how the medical major would have had to work much harder for their GPA. That being said, PR values from site to site are not easy to compare. If you are comparing two sites; one with a PR3 and the other with a PR4, there are a lot of factors to consider. In some cases the difference can be significant, but in others it could be very little. Another comment I would like to make is that webmasters often tend to rely too much upon page rank. Relevant content and traffic, in my opinion, are much more important than the actual page rank. I know of a site that has a PR3 that gets 15 or 20 uniques per day and a PR2 site that gets almost 100 uniques per day. To sum it up if you anyone is looking to buy, sale, or trade links don't just concentrate on PR. Think about the relevance of the content to your own and find out what kind of traffic the site is getting. |
