Anyone use Adwords?

I'm leary of using Adwords again. I've used it before, but nothing resulted from it.
I felt it was a waste of money. That was probably because of the type of site I was advertising though. I may try it again in the future.

Anyone use Adwords with some success? Without having to pay a bunch of money for traffic?

What type of site were you trying to promote?
I'm interested in using adwords as well, but I need to know whether it's worth doing so in the first place.

The site I was promoting before was an autosurf. The one I may launch deals with health and beauty.

hi haven't come across any good reviews about Google Adwords. Though i want to use it myself. please keep updating this place if you get to hear more about it.

I've used adwords with success, but on a small budget and 2 years ago. I was using it to get new members for a very local dating community. It worked pretty good, averaging 20 users a day (in a market of 200 000) with a budget of only 10$/day.

Were you making your money back? I wouldn't mind spending $10 a day if I were to actually make enough to cover it.

I was, indeed. It was good but it only lasted a bit because the market was small (the site was aimed at a local audience). I had an adwords campaign running for about 7 months in profit.

I ended up selling the website in the end, and I'm glad I did...match.com was getting too big to compete against.

Oh ok. You had a local dating site.
Funny you should mention match.com. I met my husband on there seven years ago when it was only known as Love@AOL (love.com.) We were 18 and 19. Dating sites can be very good. Haha.
