How to create GIF banners?

I want to create animated banners, can anyone tell me how can I create gif banners?

i dont know how to create animated ones.i usually download them form net!!

You can easily get them available from Net. If you want to make it by your own you will need a graphics editor like PaintShop Pro, to create each frame of the animated gif banner and then bring them all together in Animation Shop. Animation Shop comes free with Paint shop Pro and is used for creating animated gif images and allows you to compile individual images in correct sequence into an animated gif and lets you fine-tune the timng for each frame.
