Default VPS or Reseller?

So, which is better? I don't think anyone has compared a VPS with a Reseller. In my opinion, a VPS would be good if you're advanced.

it depends on what you need and what do you want to your hosting... if you want to be a reseller go to reseller option. if you want to develop more sites that can be a high traffic site go for VPS.

but right now i'm looking on vps for my proxy sites...

See, if you want to host sites that need to be up all the time irrespective of the hosters' uptime... you should go for a VPS.

If that doesn't make a difference, go for resellership.

Firstly, If VPS is chosen, you will also have to pay for cpanel license.
Secondly, all the burden of your clients' support falls upon you.

Most VPS providers provide cPanel too. Plus, i have to agree with you on the support that your clients will need.

If you get a managed VPS then its good for starting a small hosting company from your existing clients. If you don't have knowledge of how to manage a server then you should seriously consider Reseller hosting.

Check rackforce.com for managed VPS if you want.

They both have different purposes. And no you don't need cPanel to have one.

I recently rented one off vt16 hosting.

To tell the truth i am not that happy about vt16. Their servers have just come back from 24 hour downtime. But I've only been with them for a week so they might be all right in the long run.
